Based on a client’s requirements and possibly a “Golden Simple”, all used components are checked, the set-up of assembly lines is planned and it is made sure that the vendor understand all requested specifications of the final product. This inspection takes place even before the first components hit the assembly line in order to identify potential problems at the earliest stage possible and to word out corrections, if necessary.

This QC-step takes place after 20% of the production is completed. All contractual obligations regarding product specifications, packaging, marking on outer boxes etc. are double-checked to ensure that requirements are met. If irregularities are found, they can be rectified without causing unreasonable delivery-delays.

This QC-step is carried out when all goods are finished and ready to be shipped. Samples are randomly selected according to AQL-standards and tested for full compliance with given product features, specified quality-levels and safety standards.

The final Loading process is supervised to ensure that containers are loaded according to all export-documents, that consignments are complete and to make sure that all boxes are safely stored to arrive undamaged at their final destination.

CCS’ Quality Inspectors throughout Asia use ISO 2859 tables (also known as AQL- or Acceptable Quality Level-tables). These tables are a US standard with equivalents in all national and international standardization organizations (such as ANSI, ASQC Z1.4, DIN 40080, ISO 2859,NF06-022, BS 6001)

The ultimate goal of social factory auditing is to promote human rights of workers and to improve workplace conditions. Despite huge progress in the last 20 years, it is no secret that child labour, insufficient safety and security, minimum wages and other unethical working conditions are still an issue in China. This gives factories and production facilities not only an unfair advantage on the expense of workers and human rights, but is also jeopardizes the image of its customers. Hence many overseas’ clients insist on compliance with international social standards.

To implement and enforce these standards CCS offers Factory Auditing as one central component in its overall services.

Many of CCS’ clients use their own social auditing standards, with different ratings for different requirements. Some customers use standards suggested by CCS. Other Customers use standards such as SA 8000, based on the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights, Convention on the rights of the Child and various international Labour Organizations.

With reference to ISO 14000, SA 8000, or the customer’s specific requirements, a CCS auditor will perform the factory assessment. ALL important elements such as quality system procedures, production capacity, child labor , stall facilities, hygiene, etc. are audited. A Factory Assessment Report is issued by the auditor. It enables customers to efficiently select a qualified vender base.
